Although it largely depends on the complexity of your project - but for most apps out there, Expo would deliver excellently.

Exceptions would require if your app is heavily dependent on core native features that's performance-centric. Like if you wanted to build a music app that takes advantage of core mobile app features.

But for most backend/Api driven apps out there like fintech apps... Expo should work just fine
